Caliendo/Kraus Wedding

Today I had the honor to photograph Jerilynn Caliendo and Charles Kraus's wedding. The intimate ceremony was in East Stroudsburg with the reception following at Skytop Lodge.

When I met Jerilynn and Charles they both admitted to being camera shy.  I whole-heartedly understood, myself feeling the same way, so I was prepared to coax them a bit and give more direction then I usually do. As the photos will show, they did beyond OK, they had a blast!

All of these photos are them, not directed or coaxed. Jerilynn said she had never seen Charles so happy before. It was a gorgeous day and a beautiful wedding. Big thanks to Lisa for all her help, Jerilynn's dad for making sure I was doing a good job, Maureen and her staff at Skytop, and the happy couple for being so much fun. Have a great time in Acapulco!

James and Cami's Photos

Recently did photos of James and Cami who are getting married this August at Camp Linwood-MacDonald. We decided to do the photos there even though it was sub freezing out.

It seemed to not be to painful for them both and I had some fun. Their wedding is going to be gorgeous.

Photos of the Day 12/1

Have been photographing a lot of family photos lately. I wanted to post at least one from two recent photo sessions. These girls to the left are the Rathbone girls, Ellie and Faith. They were incredibly easy to take photos of and as you can see, had some fun.

The two little ladies on the right are the Daingerfield girls, Maeve and Morgan. We worked on a landing on their front staircase because the light was just perfect. Love that photo.

Photo of the Day 11/18

Local farmer, Don Sharp, sits in his "new" pickup outside his home in Stillwater. Turning 84 on November 20, he grows vegetables, apples, and has cows that keep him busy year around.

Don is a character in every sense of the word.

Always ready to talk about world events or local people, offer you an apple, or show you his best looking vegetables.
Don is usually all smiles, but today we were talking about the economy, so... you know.

Photo of the Day 11/15

Pretty dreary day today in Sussex County. Saw this photo on Rte 94 just outside of Newton while headed to a birthday party for a friend of my son.

He wanted to know why I was turning around, he asked, "you forget somein?"

Photo of the Day 11/14

A rainy day at SCUMA, or "the dump." Jake and I go to the dump at least once a week. Bagged garbage, sometimes bulk, and always recycling. Everywhere you turn there is something interesting, old small signs, big new ones, tons of birds, great people. It never gets old.

I love the dump.

Photo of the Day 11/12

Gwendolyn doing some homework. She is in first grade and has homework almost every night. Call me crazy, but I think that's crazy.
Here she made five sentences using here ten spelling words.

Yes, those are my sneakers.

Photo of the Day 10/28

It has come...the first snow. Expected a little flurries mixed with rain and instead got over an inch in some areas of Sussex County. Met with a bride today at the office and then made my way to my son's pre-school to pick him up early. The roads were terrible.
Just waiting for wifey to come home and keeping the woodstove going.

Photo of the Day 10/22

My son is about to catch a leaf. He and his sisters spend about ten minutes every morning trying to catch leaves falling from the trees.

I caught one today...felt pretty good.

Photos of the Day 10/17

Last night Andre deWaal and myself started out next cookbook project. We had so much fun creating the last one that we knew there would be a second. The following are some photos, I am not going to say to much and give it all away but it will be bigger than the last and better than the last.

Photo of the Day 9/30

Starting a photo of the day on my Blog. This is the newest addition to the Yaskovic family. We haven't named her yet, we take that very seriously, but she is awesome. About 12 weeks old, from NJ Puppy Rescue, a mix of chihuahua, terrier, who knows?
She's a great dog.

The Partin Family

This morning I did a photo session of  the Partin family at their home in Sparta. Lucy stole the show without a doubt. Her mom, Bethany, may have called her "hammy" to get her to smile at first but after that, it was her morning.
Lucy didn't hesitate to jump to Keith, her dad, when he asked her if she wanted to.

Then we had Race. Race was not into having his photo taken this morning. He cracked a smile a few times and I was lucky to be there. You can see what a handsome young boy he is.

The kids were pretty excited to sit on the fence, they are usually not allowed. Some may call it a smirk, but I think Race gave me a smile in that family photo below.
Keith and Bethany, thanks for the oppurtunity to photograph your gorgeous kids, hope to here from you soon.
